Art Center membership does have its perks! The Art Center is a not-for-profit organization owned and operated by its members. Membership is open to all area residents, and is encouraged for all those who want to support the arts in Citrus County.
The Art Center does not receive operating funds from any government agency. All revenues to operate and maintain the center come from sale of theater tickets, contributions, membership dues, and money generated from fund raisers, classes, and gallery exhibit fees.
The Art Center comes together for special events. Here some of the 100+ members and guests enjoy a special presentation by the cast of My Fair Lady at the Fall 2012-2013 Season Kick-Off Pot Luck Dinner.
Although the Art Center general meetings, demonstrations, workshops, classes, gallery exhibits, theater productions and many special events are open to the public. Membership in the Art Center is important for its success. In addition to providing revenue needed for operation of the Art Center, members have the opportunity to elect leaders for the organization and to shape the programs provided. Members also receive a Membership Directory listing names and contact information for Art Center members. Membership is required for all officers of the organization, and for participation in some Art Center programs such as groups or clubs sponsored by the Art Center.
Contributors are greatly appreciated. Please consider including a donation with your membership or becoming an Art Center of Citrus County corporate sponsor. Donations are accepted for any amount. The amounts listed receive a contributing members mention in our bi-annual membership directory received by all members.
