Linda Wokoun’s Workshop

In an effort to avoid cancelling next month’s Linda Wokoun workshop, the board has instead worked with Linda to change it to a one-day workshop in hopes of getting sufficient signups to put on the workshop.
Linda’s workshop, ‘Finding and Losing Details’, will be held on October 11th from 9 am to 4 pm at the Art Center of Citrus County. The price of the workshop is now $120 for members and $150 for non-members.
In this workshop, the focus will be on a variety of wet-into-wet and negative painting techniques. If you are interested in loosening up your painting style, this class is for you. Our subject will be a stylized cityscape in Glasgow. We will be practicing large juicy abstract washes that we will develop with direct and negative painting techniques, eventually creating representational images. All watercolor skill levels are welcome.
Linda is an experienced artist and instructor, and her workshops are always fun, informative and well received.

Your board works hard to bring in a variety of artists to do workshops for you and we encourage everyone to participate in them. Don’t be shy!! The workshops are for all skill levels, and you will always learn something to help you in your watercolor journey. And you can’t beat the fun and comradery of getting to know your fellow CWS members a little better!

Don’t forget Dues were due in June if you have not yet paid in 2025!
Dues are now $45.
Cash or checks payable to CWS can be brought to the meeting or mailed to our P.O. Box 2464, Inverness FL 34451-2464. Our club year runs from June 1st thru May 31st. Dues paid after January 1st are good until May 31st of the following year.
Citrus Watercolor Society meets on the 2nd Friday of each month, except in July. Refreshments begin at 12:30 pm and the business meeting begins at 1 pm. The artist demo immediately follows the business meeting.
Meetings are held in the Education Building behind the theater at the Art Center of Citrus County, 2644 N Annapolis Avenue, Hernando, FL 34442.
It is important to note that we are simply renters at the Art Center. We maintain our identity and your annual membership is for CWS only. Of course, you are welcome to become affiliated with the ACCC and enjoy the many benefits of an ACCC membership, but only our CWS board members are required to have double membership.
