The Arts Academy was found by the Art Center Executive board in the Spring of 2011 with the purpose of filling the educational goals of the organization.  These goals are three fold:  to provide instruction in all art forms; provide venues for students’ artistic expression; provide students of all ages classes at an affordable price.  To help fulfill this goal all teachers in the academy are qualified volunteers.

To register for the youth programs, call the Art Center Box Office at 746-7606 or come in on the day registration opens, no emails will be accepted. Registration dates and times are published in several places, under the Youth Class button, on the Calendar, and on the Art Center’s Facebook Youth page. Unless other arrangements have been made, payment is due at the time of registration, class tuition and fees are nonrefundable. Class sizes are limited to 25 to 30 children depending on the production chosen. No youth classes will be scheduled during holiday weeks. For scheduling date and time information go to the yellow Youth Classes button.

Youth drama classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. When it gets closer to performance time additional practices may be scheduled as needed.

Summer camp hours are 10 am to 3 pm, Mon – Fri with 3 performances Fri, Sat & Sun, cost is $100. Camp participants must bring their own lunch.

Youth art classes for the fall session will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 6:pm. and run approximately 12 weeks. Class is limited to 12 students. Materials will be provided.

Adult Art Class Programs

$35 for one class, $25 for each additional class., To register, call the Art Center Box Office (hours 1-4, Mon – Fri) at 746-7606 or come in on the day registration opens, payment is due at the time of registration. The Art Academy instructors and assistants are all talented community volunteers dedicated to the development of the arts through our community art center.
