
The Art Center of Citrus County and the Art Center Shutterbugs are pleased to announce the addition of a Student Photography Wall as part of Celebrating the Art of Photography. This dedicated exhibition space will feature photographic work by local high school students, providing young artists with the opportunity to publicly display their creativity and artistic vision. The Student Photography Wall reflects the Art Center’s ongoing commitment to arts education, youth engagement, and fostering the next generation of photographers in Citrus County.
Student Submission Information:
• Open to Citrus County high school students
• Each student may submit two (2) photographs
• Photographs may be color or black and white
• Photographs must be framed and wired for hanging
• Images must be original student work
• No AI-generated artwork permitted
• Maximum framed size: 16 x 20
• Photographs must have been taken within the last two years
• Submission fee is $20
The student photographs will be displayed as part of the month-long exhibition in May. Students, families, and educators are encouraged to participate and attend the exhibition to celebrate the creativity of Citrus County’s young photographers.

Awards will be presented for First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and a People’s Choice Award, which will be selected by exhibition visitors.

Additional programming during the exhibition includes a Camera Club Meeting on May 4, featuring the club’s photography challenge and a presentation by Judy Boyd on Black and White Photography, as well as an educational workshop planned for Sunday, May 17, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM (details to be announced). Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.
