Louanne Headrick will be the presenter for “Make & Take Project”

A retired Hospice R.N. and a self-taught artist in oil watercolor, pastel, acrylic and mixed media, Louanne has taught beginning, intermediate and advanced watercolor classes at the Bonita Springs Art League in south Florida and the Naples Art Association. A Signature Membership in the Florida Watercolor Society and a holistic spiritual writer, she likes working with art and artists sharing what she knows and hearing what other artists know to be their truth about themselves and their works of art. Louanne will be sharing her knowledge and information on resources during this fun event.

Attendees will be provided all materials for this fun project using china markers, pen, conte crayons, and watercolor pencils

Suggested $5 donation for supplies, $7 for non-members

Fine Arts Gala at the Art Center of Citrus County on Friday, June 29 6:00 pm
Sponsored by Friends and Families Reaching for Abilities (FFRA), the Art Center and the Citrus Cultural Alliance, the juried art show is open to artists with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Since February, FFRA has held mentorship workshops pairing experienced artists from the community with individuals from the Key Training Center, New Horizons, CREST, etc.
After the gala, all artists’ artwork will be on display for the general public to enjoy from July 6 through July 30

Nature Coast Exhibit #2 Artist Reception Nov 3, 6:30 PM

Nature Coast Exhibit #2 at the Art Center of Citrus County.

Ruth Ann Dexheimer, Adjunct Teacher at the Appleton Art Museum, will judge our exhibit on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

We invite you to attend our Artist Reception on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 6:30 PM where winners will be announced. This free event is open to the public and refreshments will be served. Please feel free to invite friends and family.

The opening of the theater production, ‘A Night of Dark Intent’ is also on Friday evening. During the production intermission, the audience will vote in the art gallery for the “People’s Choice Award”.

Artwork will hang from November 3, 2017 till December 13, 2017. Exhibit is open during box office hours from 10 AM – 4 PM. Closing is on December 13, 2017. You may pick up your artwork between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM.

Adult Art Class Painting with Acrylics

Adult Art Class / Spring Session, taught by Sharon Harris

Painting with Acrylics – Monday 2:00 to 4:00pm

Starts – Feb 2 – April 20.

$35 for one class, $25 for each additional class.

To register for the Adult programs, call the Art Center Box Office (hours 1-4, Mon – Fri) at 746-7606 or come in on the day registration opens. All programs are first come first serve and class sizes are limited to 12 adults.
