Our next camera club meeting is November 6th at 7 p.m. Our guest speaker is Gary Barr, one of the top astrophotographers in the area.

Bio: Gary moved from Jackson, New Jersey with his wife, Judi, and his two golden retrievers, Rusty and Teddy four years ago. They live in the Villages of Citrus Hills.
Gary grew up in Savannah, GA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Ga. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Photographic Lab Management.
Out of RIT, Gary went to work for a very large photo lab in Washington DC called Colorfax as the Quality Assurance manager and headed a small staff. This company had 34 locations in the Washington/Baltimore area.
He then went to work for Fuji Photo Film USA, which is now called Fujifilm North America. Gary ended up working for Fuji for 35 years and retired at the end of September of this year.
Gary started his astrophotography hobby in May of 2021. He has three telescopes, 250mm, 500mm. and 1230mm, with a mono astrophotography camera with a filter wheel, Every possible cloudless night, his telescope is out taking deep space objects.
