President’s Message – Karrie Mast
Dear Members and Supporters,
I hope everyone is enjoying these rather warm days of Summer. Though Summer has the image of lazy days – that is so far from the truth here at the Art Center!
Recently we had several volunteers take time out of their busy schedules to come in and clean the Art Center so that everything feels fresh and new! I am very grateful for this group of ladies.
Our children’s program is off to a strong start as they gear up for their first production – Holy Mother of Bingo! What an amazing group of talented kids who are involved in this production.
The Citrus Watercolor Society has been busy with art workshops and a lot of fun upcoming events to spark their creative juices.
Our theatre has been humming along with rehearsals for White Christmas which is our July theatrical offering and soon work will start on the comedy “Pysch” which is our September production at the theater.
Our painting groups have continued to meet to work on their art during the week here at the center.
Our Camera Club is facing a transition as their longtime chairperson; Jim Houle has stepped down in June and we honored him at the Best of the Best Year End Celebration to thank him for his service. A committee has been formed to help guide the Camera Club and they have some very exciting ideas for the coming year.
As we prepare for the 2025/26 Season here at the Art Center, we hope that you enjoy your Summer and that you support us in the coming season by attending our performances, checking out our Nature Coast Art Exhibits and getting involved!
Warmest regards,
Karrie

Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters enroute to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep is the Ocean” and the perennial title song- “White Christmas, the Musical” is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.
